Compile of Khun's mom message regarding the accident

I really like what Khun's mom says regarding the matter. Here's the compiled message from her:

"I can't contact Khun yet, but I talked to the PR. They said that no one got injured, and it was just a minor accident. I'm happy that nothing really bad happened. Now I'm feeling quite relieved.

I'm actually really surprised because Khun normally takes care of himself well. I think it's just that he's a young guy and only had 2 glasses, which if he drinks, he normally wouldn't drive.

The dorm was close to the restaurant, that's why he drove, I think. I feel sorry that if this is what actually happened, he should take care of himself better. This is what he has to remember, if he drinks, he shouldn't drive.

Khun normally doesn't drink even if they have celebrations after concerts. But with this news, I'm not really surprised because he's a young guy. It's a normal thing in the society. He usually doesn't drink beer though. Maybe he used to drink wine before meals when he was in New Zealand.. but his dad always tells him, if he's drunk, then he should't drive.

I think this is an important lesson for him. He's lucky that there were no casualties. It teaches us to be responsible for others also.

He always cares so much about others, so now I'm just worried that he'll be stressed out about damaging the band's fame. He won't worried much about himself, but he'll be worried about creating problems for others. This'll be a lesson to teach us to walk on the right path. I think it's good because it teaches us to not make the same mistakes again.

I'd to thank all the fans who sent supports to him. This is to prove that he's an ordinary person who can make mistakes, but mistakes have to be looked at in a way that if this was because he was reckless or not."

[NEWS] JYP Entertainment apologizes for 2PM member Nichkhun’s recent accident

JYP Entertainment just released this statement to allkpop, in regards to 2PM member Nichkhun‘s recent car accident.

“This is JYP Entertainment. Around 2:30AM this morning, Nichkhun who is an artist under our agency had attended a dinner with the entire JYP family present, following a rehearsal for a JYP performance. After having about two glasses of beer, Nichkhun was driving back to his dorm which is located on the same block as the location the dinner took place. On the way, Nichkhun was involved in an accident with a motorcycle at an intersection in the neighborhood.”

They continued, “His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, and his license has been suspended. Nichkhun himself and our company are well aware that we were careless, and for this we would like to apologize. Furthermore, we will earnestly oblige to any follow-up investigations that may be necessary. Once again, we would like to sincerely apologize.”

[NEWS] 2PM’s Nichkhun involved in a minor car accident while driving under the influence

2PM‘s Nichkhun has been allegedly caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

On July 24th at 3:30AM KST, Nichkhun was involved in a car accident while driving in Gangnam. The singer was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when he rear-ended a motorcycle.

His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, a percentage where he will be subjected to his license becoming suspended.

An official from Gangnam’s police station informed Dispatch over the telephone July 24th, “After measuring his alcohol content at the site [of the incident], it was concluded that [Nichkhun] was not severely intoxicated. Immediately after the accident, [Nichkhun] and the victim were investigated by the police.”

No one was injured at the scene, and there was no serious damage to either vehicle. The police station official continued, “It was a small accident and neither Nichkhun nor the victim were injured. Both vehicles were insured, and Nichkhun has taken measures to safely return home following his investigation.”

Following the news of 2PM‘s Nichkhun being booked for driving under the influence of alcohol, another report has surfaced stating that the motorcyclist has been injured.

As mentioned previously, on the morning of July 24th, Nichkhun was involved in a car accident with a motorcycle near the Hakdong four-way street. At the time of the accident, Nichkhun’s blood alcohol level was recorded at 0.056%, leading to a probable suspension of his driver’s license and an investigation with the police.

A witness at the scene who also followed the motorcyclist to the hospital reported, “The victim was on the floor, bleeding from his head. An ambulance rushed him to the emergency room at Kunkuk University Hospital.” He continued, “At the moment, he’s expressing severe pain in his shoulders and in his back.”

Currently, this statement and the level of injury has not been officially confirmed. All that has been reported by the police is that both parties have decided to settle this through the insurance companies, and Nichkhun returned home afterwards.

JYP Entertainment previously apologized for the accident and revealed that Nichkhun would comply with all investigations requested of him.

[NEWS] 2PM claims 2 wins from Tower Records

2PM has been crowned “Best Artist” as well as the artist with the “Best Single” by Tower Records.
The Japanese music retailer released the results on July 14 and awarded various K-pop acts by tallying up sales figures and votes from netizens. It also deemed the group’s single “Beautiful” as the best K-pop song from the early half of the year.

As well as the official sales records, netizens were able to vote via blogs, Facebook and other social networking Web sites.

Meanwhile, bands Super Junior and SHINee were voted second and third most popular K-pop bands.

Of late, 2PM also claimed another win when member Taecyeon was recognized for his toned body. On the July 3 episode of MBC Music’s “Show Champion,” the 2PM member was voted as the male celebrity with the best abs.

[NEWS] Wonder Girls’ new song gets mention on Billboard.com

Wonder Girls’ new song “Like Money” was treated to a shout-out on U.S. music magazine, Billboard’s Web site.

On July 9, an article titled “Wonder Girls Debut ‘Like Money’ Single, Video Featuring Akon,” introduced the group’s new song with the American rapper.

Billboard described the band as “the first South Korean act to chart on the Billboard 100,” with its 2009 single “Nobody.”

A video accompanied the post and in all, the song was summed up as “electro-pop.”

The song also managed to climb to third spot on iTunes’ electronic chart since being released on July 10.

Among celebrities in Hollywood, like Paris Hilton and Nick Cannon, and power bloggers, the song is being talked about as the group’s next big hit.

[NEWS/VIDEO] Wonder Girls And Akon To Perform

Wonder Girls and hip-hop singer Akon will join forces to sing at the Green Groove Festival 2012, which runs from July 21 to 22 at Daechun beach in South Chungcheong.

“The two acts will join forces to perform on one stage,” said a spokesperson from the event.
Other big names to take part in the music festival, which promotes “Green Culture,” are 10cm, Delispice and Infected Mushroom.

While Wonder Girls is a Hallyu group that is popular in Asia and gaining force in the United States, Akon is best known as a hip-hop and R&B singer, as well as the producer who launched Lady Gaga’s career.

The Korean girl group and the American musician also share a special bond as the latter took part as a featured artist in the group’s new song, “Like Money.”

[NEWS} K-pop Stars Compete In Olympic Special

2PM Nichkhun

SBS has recruited the help of idol group members for a special Olympic-themed episode of the variety segment “Running Man” on its weekend program “Good Sunday.”

A source from the network said that Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, ZE:A’s Lim Si-wan, 2PM’s Nichkhun, MBlaq’s Lee Joon, CN Blue’s Jung Yong-hwa and Beast’s Yoon Du-jun were picked to take part in various athletic competitions against one another.

T-ara’s Eunjung also took part as the only female idol group member.

Filming took place on Monday at Olympic Park in eastern Seoul and the source said that “the finest idol groups’ members were chosen.”

Various pictures from the set made their way online, generating buzz for the upcoming program.

The show, which hit its 200th-episode mark in November, has attracted viewers with its interesting segments featuring stars who don’t usually appear on variety shows.

The idol Olympic special will air on July 22.

[NEWS] KARA and Jay Park to perform on World Stage

In the words of the entertainers’ agencies, “the two have been picked as Korean representatives”: Hallyu girl band KARA and Jay Park are set to perform at MTV World Stage 2012, taking place in Malaysia on July 14.

“It’s such an honor to be invited to a global music event. It’s a bit nerve-wracking to think that so many will be watching the show,” said Park.

The concert, now approaching its fourth year, will also boast Justin Bieber as one of the acts in the lineup.

Other Korean acts to have taken part in previous years were Wonder Girls (2010) and Beast (2011).
This year’s show will hit the airwaves next month in some 160 countries.

[NEWS] 2AM TO DO THEME FOR JAPAN DRAMA

2AM will record the song “For You” for a Japanese drama titled “Soumatou Kabushikigaisha” on the TBS network.

Japanese press reported yesterday that “For You” will be the theme song for the drama that will air starting July 16.

“The song is about the sentiments of a lover toward the beloved. It’s a ballad, and lyrics like ‘I can’t explain in words’ touch the heartstrings of listeners,” said the drama’s producer.

Meanwhile, band leader Jo Kwon said 2AM was ecstatic to have the opportunity. “It’s an honor, and we feel that the song and the drama fit perfectly and we hope that the fans will enjoy it,” said Jo.

The drama stars Japanese actress Yuu Kashii, who also said she was thrilled about “For You.”

Meanwhile, Jo Kwon released his debut album “I’m Da One” last month and is busy promoting it.

Beyonce’s choreographer Jonte Moaning praised Jo Kwon’s performance of “Animal,” which he sang wearing 7.6-inch heels and a feathery costume .

[NEWS] 2PM’S TAECYEON CHOSEN FOR BEST ABS

On the July 3 episode of MBC Music’s “Show Champion,” the best abs in K-pop was selected.

The program surveyed athletic trainers to pick the singer with the finest abs. Taecyeon of 2PM was picked as the winner. Mighty Mouse’s Sangchu came close as the runner-up.

The trainers voted from nine singers of the K-pop stage who known for their athletic physiques, including Big Bang’s Taeyang, Beast’s Gikwang, 2AM’s Changmin, Seulong, and MBlaq’s Lee Joon.

The athletic professionals described Taecyeon’s ab muscles as “defined and balanced,” praising the singer’s fit body.

          Aku menyukai 2PM belum begitu lama. Aku menjadi ‘Hottest’ baru di awal tahun 2012 ini. Jadi aku masih tergolong pendatang baru. He… He… He… Tapi jangan salah *ato mencibir loh* walaupun aku masih tergolong ‘anak bawang’ bukan berarti aku nggak banyak tahu tentang 2PM. Aku menyukai boyband ini berawal dari ‘falling in love at the first sight’ terhadap member tercute di 2PM. He… he… he… Yup. Aku jatuh cinta sama Nichkhun.  Karena rasa penasaranku akan cowok ini, sehingga membuatku mencari tahu tentang keberadaan cowok satu ini. En ternyata dia merupakan member 2PM, yang merupakan boyband yang tidak hanya mengandalkan fisik semata dan ketampanan wajah mereka tetapi juga memberikan sebuah suguhan yang sangat menarik di dalam setiap performance mereka. Aku betul-betul jatuh cinta… *Hahaha… kayak orang gila.

Aku menyukai 2PM bukan hanya karena mereka ganteng-ganteng n memiliki fisik yang sangat sempurna (*emang sich semuanya berawal dari kedua hal itu, hehehe… harus ngaku nich!!!), tapi aku juga menyukai kepribadian mereka en kedekatan mereka *menurutku nich, ‘nggak ada boyband yang kayak mereka’ sorry* yang udah kayak keluarga banget. Kecintaanku akan 2PM benar-benar udah nggak bias dibendung lagi… Aku selalu berusaha mencari video maupun photo dan tentu saja info terbaru mengenai mereka. *yack, aku jadi kayak a stalker
